Sony DRBT50 Stereo Bluetooth Headset for PS VIta ?

At the moment, I am in my decision path, I already have a Sony NC headphones that I use with iBasso D-Zero headphone amplifier and IPod Classic and they are very good, but with my new PS Vita – portable game player, it also comes with video and music player feature, and there are so many times that I want to pack light but I have to carry both IPod Classic + headphone amplifier + MDR-NC500D and also PS Vita that is not so convenience. So, I have an idea, what if I buy a Bluetooth headphones for PS Vita, it will be good, because it is noticeable difference between PS Vita’s built-in speakers and when you wear headphones, they are so many details that I have missed when I use PS Vita (of course).

Personally, I am not the in-ears guy, I can’t breath when wearing them (seriously) and earbuds is a good choice, but I can not find earbuds that features Bluetooth connectivity, so that’s why my choice comes to Sony DRBT50 Stereo Bluetooth Headset. First of all, it is a Bluetooth Sony headphones, so I guess you can pair this headphones very easily since they are the same brand, and second, it is a full size headphones, with its price, it may not sound so great, but for multimedia I think Sony DRBT50 Stereo Bluetooth Headset is a good choice, especially when it is on a big sale price. The only problem for me about Sony DRBT50 Stereo Bluetooth Headset is its phones are not foldable so it may be a little hard to pack into my bag, hmm….

Hi-Fi grade CD player and headphones for condo living ?

I will move to my new condo at the end of this year and at the moment I am worrying  about how I could play my 3,000 USD Hi-Fi system that I have saved money for many years to buy it. I don’t quite sure if my condo will be that good soundproof, normally I don’t turn mu music so loud but there is some time that I feel fun and I want to enjoy my music system,

the worst case scenario for me is perhaps I have to sell my stereo system and buy a hi-end grade headphones and a good CD player instead, at the moment I use my AKG K702 and I’ve found it is perfectly matched with my Marantz 5004, but listening to headphones isn’t like listening for a stereo system. But perhaps that’s the way it goes T-T (I will update my system situation again when I moved to my condo), perhaps I will go with Sennheiser HD 650, and a good headphone amplifier. This is sad.

If you have an expensive headphones and looking for the way to gain the best sound out of it, don’t lose your money with DAC, headphone amplifier, music server computer that could cost you around 1,000 USD. Just buy one of an entry level Hi-Fi CD player that comes with good audio quality out for headphones, AKG K702 is the most expensive headphones that I’ve ever purchased and I have a hard time to find a proper portable system to drive it properly,

I ended up with the portable CD player that may not drive K702 to its best but for the portable system, this is the best I can provided, and I cannot afford LISA 3, but if you are looking for a home-use headphones and a good system for music listening, I think you may want to checkout Marantz CD5004 CD Player, just plug your full-size headphones and enjoy the very natural sound character of  CD5004, and the good thing of this CD player is it comes with the built-in volume control, so you can use this CD player as your standalone player for your expensive headphones. My Mac Mini with Amarra cannot beat this CD player, or even my Onkyo integrated amplifier, just this CD player and that’s it ! Don’t waste your money for headphones amplifier !

The only downside of this headphones is that it runs with AA batteries that is quite heavier, I don’t know why Pioneer doesn’t use lithium battery with this price range headphones, if you think AA batteries are not acceptable, then another choice (and maybe the only choice for this task) could be Sony MDRDS6500 that comes with a built-in lithium battery.

1. In case you want to connect the Sony MDRDS6500 to your Blu-ray player or your DVD, your Blu-ray and DVD player need to come with optical-out, because of   Sony MDRDS6500 supports only optical-in in order to decodes a 5.1 or 7.1 channels audio.

2. If you use home theater in the box you have a problem with this optical-out, please make sure that your system has optical out before buy a  Sony MDRDS6500 or else cannot connect it with this headphones.

3. If you plan to use this Dolby Surround headphones with your XBOX 360 or PS3, you can connect it with optical out from these consoles, the problem is I don’t know if game consoles can send two signal at the same time, HDMI for picture and optical out for audio, but theoretically they should be available.

Very impressive, isn’t it ? I think it is one of a very neat earphones with this price. This earphones may not be a full waterproof like Sennheiser MX85 or Sennheiser MX 680 in-ear earphones, but it comes with a feature called Splash proof that means it can stand a water splash for a few second but not made from waterproof material, that is acceptable in my opinion. LG Tone or Jabra HALO2 ?

Both come with almost the same price, while Jabra HALO2  is a half size Bluetooth headphones, LG Tone is an in-ear Bluetooth headphones, which one is the best choice ?

In my opinion, I think the design of LG Tone is quite funny, I think designer at LG try to reduces that size of Bluetooth headphones but due to its Bluetooth reception, this is the best it can be, you cannot avoid a big reception on your earphones, or I could say that LG Tone HBS-700 is  a combination between a Bluetooth reception and in-ear earphones, and it comes as smallest as possible but the question is, is it small enough ? Even I think it is one of a smallest Bluetooth stereo headphones. In my opinion, if you  are interested in LG Tone because its size and you don’t want people staring while you are wearing it, I don’t think LG Tone  is a good answer due to its size and the way you have to wear it that is very catch the eyes.

In contrast, I think  Jabra HALO2 is a better choice since it comes with  bigger phones that can offer better sound quality, and also it comes with a foldable feature that you can rest it in your bag with no hassle.
